GFCCHM has pioneered new teaching methodologies and exists today as the only one of its kind in Andhra Pradesh, where ample opportunities are provided and teaching methods designed to support the research, teaching and learning functions of the Institute. The Institute is a repository of a comprehensive range of reference and teaching materials in hotel and tourism management, and is equipped with state-of-the-art multimedia and IT facilities. Well-known international journal titles from the fields of hospitality, tourism and food science are stocked. In addition, hospitality textbooks, conference proceedings, reports and statistics, as well as GFCCHM Industrial Training Projects and Hotel & Tourism Projects can all be found at the Institute. The Kitchens & Training Restaurant provides students with 'laboratories' to practice both production and service skills in a real restaurant setting with customers.

The Hospitality & Tourism Technology Unit features state-of-the-art computer facilities for studying IT and preparing project work.

Classroom teaching is based on interdisciplinary teaching and is the only one to approach the diversity and the complexity of problems connected with the development of guest accommodation in addition to integrating the additional services that are becoming more and more sophisticated in terms of leisure, travel and business. Thereby “Teaching” is converted into a “Learning” process which is also enriched by field trips providing students with first hand experience in hotel operations, visitor attractions, cruise vacation, theme parks and conferences.

Students are encouraged to participate actively in every phase of their highly internationalized and multicultural training program. Course work compliments practical training, cultural and technical seminars, and individual or small-group research projects. The teaching staff consists of highly qualified faculty personnel, expert practitioners, and professionals.
