Launched by HAR Educational Society in the year 1997, with the motto of giving quality education in Hoteliering and providing trained and skilled professionals to the Hospitality Industry, has become the Post-liberalisation phase saw progressive thinking and tourism sector was one of the major beneficiaries. Our country possesses abundance of tourist attractions that only need to be tapped and pushed forward on the right path. We see a tremendous role for the hospitality industry in this development.
To meet the burgeoning challenge that lies ahead, a large number of hotel management schools have mushroomed all over India. Yet the shortfall exists and there lies a great shortage of really skilled hotel manpower. The prevailing and up coming Star Category Hotels are desperately scouting for well-trained Hoteliers particularly at the Managerial and Supervisory positions. The same has been attributed to lack of satisfactory & knowledgeable faculty and facilities for hands on training. There exist a desperate need for a genuine and meaningful hotel school, where trained and talented hotel professionals are produced. To meet this glaring disparity, Greenfield College of Catering and Hotel Management was established.
